{A} Epithelial Tissue:-
(1) Simple epithelium:- Single Layered
* lining of ducts and tubes
** Squamous:- *Flat irregular cells
*forms diffusion boundary
* walls of blood vessels and alveoli.
** Cuboidal :- seen in ducts of glands and tubes of nephrons
* helps in secretion and absorption
** Coloumnar :- * Nucleus is at base
* seen in lining of stomach and intestines.
* helps in secretion and absorption
***epithelium of PCT has microvilli.
**** If Coloumnar / Cuboidal epithelium
1) have cilia then called ciliated epithelium eg.:- Bronchioles and fallopian tube
2) if gets specialised for secretion then called Glandular epithelium. a) Unicellular:- Goblet cells of alimentary canal b) Multicellular:- Salavary gland. c) Exocrine:- Have ducts eg. :- Mucus, saliva and milk. d) Endocrine:- Ductless eg. :- Hormones
{B} Connective Tissue:- All connective tissue except blood secretes collagen and elastic fibres.
(1) Loose Connective Tissue:-
a) Areolar Tissue :- present beneath the skin.
* having cells like mast cells, fibroblast and macrophage.
* Supports epithelium
b) Adipose Tissue:- * present beneath skin.
* stores fat.
(2) Dense Connective Tissue:-
a) Regular:- Tendon (joins bone to muscles) and Ligaments (joins bone to bone)
b) Irregular:- present in skin (irregular pattern)
(3) Specialized Connective Tissue:-
a) Cartilage :- it's cells called chrondocytes
* solid and pliable.
b) Bone :- it's cells called osteocytes present in space called lacunae
* hard and non-pliable matrix
c) Blood :- fluid connective Tissue
* transport substances.
